Book 1 The Wishing Fence
Meet Shaka, D'Shawndre, and Barry, lifelong friends bound by a sacred promise made to a mysterious Fence at the end of their street. Little do they realize that the wishes they whisper to The Fence each day could hold the power to shape their destinies. Unbeknownst to them, The Fence harbors a secret entity, capable of granting these heartfelt wishes.
As the trio grows older, they begin to unearth the remarkable abilities hidden within themselves. One of them possesses the gift of foresight, with visions that manifest in startling and sometimes terrifying ways. Together, they must navigate the treacherous landscape of a gang-ridden neighborhood, relying on the protection and guidance of The Fence, which seems to have an uncanny understanding of their hopes and dreams.
Book 2 Triplets: The Beginning
I was overjoyed to be pregnant, even after we found out I was pregnant with triplets. I never realized how my life would change. Much for the better, some not so much.
When I would see other women pregnant like me, I thought, what a wonderful experience. Until the day came when I could only get out of bed to go to the bathroom and to the dining table to eat, and then, only with the assistance of a lot of pillows and a serving tray, I was as large as a small house and could not get close enough to the table to eat a meal. Thus, the tray rested partly on my stomach and partly on the table.
I still have three months to go, or more realistically, until I get to thirty-two weeks, to give my babies a real chance of survival. One of the three keeps wanting to get out early, and Shaka has had to talk her into staying in. Yes, talk her into staying longer as she is the mischievous one. We call her El Junior until we name them, but we know which one she is because she has already begun to show she is going to be very special like her father. Is it the ‘shine’? We won’t know until she arrives, but I guarantee you we will be in for a ride. I can only hope the other two will be calmer and without the ‘shine’ gene.
No need to worry now; there will be a lot of time for that when they get here.
Book 3: We Are One
In WE ARE ONE, Carolyn Klein explores the intricate connections that bind us as humans, transcending borders, cultures, and backgrounds to reveal the shared humanity that unites us all. This powerful narrative delves deep into the themes of unity, empathy, and the profound impact of understanding one another. Each chapter thoughtfully explores the emotional landscapes of individuals, communities, and societies, offering a poignant look at how our lives are intertwined in ways that often go unnoticed.
Through a compelling blend of personal stories, reflective insights, and universal themes, Klein paints a picture of a world where, despite our differences, we are all intrinsically linked. The book is a heartfelt call for compassion, connection, and the recognition of our collective responsibility in shaping a better world.
